A fun piece from when I was first studying fugue form.
It may be viewed either as a fugue based on a classic 12-bar blues chord progression,
or as a blues song that utilizes elements of classical fugue.
Either way, it's the same piece of music,
uniting elements spanning a period of almost 700 years,
from the earliest mention of the term fugue by Jacobus of Liege in 1330 to today.
My professor said that she wished she had been assigned to write something like this back
when she was in school.
